I began with an idea and a set of sketches. I had no idea what I was doing. I needed help. I found Russ Weinzimmer on the internet and gave him a call. He was in New Hampshire, I was in California. I called Russ with about five weeks remaining on my provisional patent, and it was due of course at the end of that year, so he had very little time to completely redo and enhance my provisional patent. I just spoke with Russ Weinzimmer on the phone. I was given advice in a very friendly manner and was not once asked for money or to come in for an interview. ANYONE looking for a patent lawyer would be crazy not to use this firm. What a pleasant surprise to find friendly attorneys.

I called Russ on a whim to ask some patent strategy questions on behalf of a business I'm advising. (In my capacity as research faculty at a top business school, I regularly interact with small businesses and entrepreneurs, and these sorts of patent-related questions come up from time to time.) Not expecting to get an immediate answer, I was simply hoping for a call back within a few days. Despite the late hour, Russ called me back almost immediately, listened to my scenario, and was incredibly instructive in his responses.
